Job Title:We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Business Operations Specialist to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing workflows, analyzing performance metrics, managing logistics processes, and ensuring seamless day-to-day transportation operations.
Description: Ensure regulatory compliance by overseeing adherence to transportation, trade, and business laws, including federal, state, and international logistics regulations; Review and analyze contracts such as vendor agreements, freight contracts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and mitigate legal risks; Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks in logistics operations, ensuring the company operates within regulatory frameworks and avoids potential liabilities; handle supplier/vendor negotiations and compliance issues; Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance with trade laws, business regulations, and internal policies; Manage supplier and vendor relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are met and negotiating terms that align with business interests and compliance requirements; Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, generating reports that assess risk, operational efficiency, and legal adherence; Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and trade policies, collaborating with internal teams to navigate international shipping laws and customs requirements; Create policies, processes, and procedures for client engagement and onboarding, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and legal standards; Assist in preparing operational reports with a focus on regulatory compliance, summarizing key data points for management review; Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes while ensuring adherence to transportation laws and safety regulations; Track and evaluate fleet performance, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to drivers, carriers, and logistics operations to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and Assist in cost analysis and budgeting, ensuring financial planning aligns with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
Required qualification:Bachelor’s degree in a related field • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or business operations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics software (e.g., TMS, Fleetio, or similar) • Excellent communication and coordination abilities • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
